Big Family Rides – Community Ride

The ultimate Sunday ride through Brisbane city

This ride is perfect for adults new to the bike or young guns keen to get in on the action.

Who can ride?

Kids aged 8 and older can ride solo, and Kids under 7 years can ride with Mum or Dad in a bike trailer or on a bike seat.

How far?

Approximately 6-10km*, pending final approvals.

What sort of bike can I use?

You can use road bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes, hybrid bikes, and cross bikes.

Handcyclists, tandem bikes, recumbents, bike seats, E-bikes and bike trailers are permitted in the Big Family Ride.

Time Trial Bikes, and Bikes with tri or aero bars are not permitted.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

Yes. Full stop.

Ride Rules

The Tour de Brisbane sponsored by Transurban is governed by AusCycling policy and rules.

Insurance

If you are not an AusCycling member, you will need a one day membership to participate in any category at this event.
One day memberships are automatically added to your entry at time of purchase if you do not enter a valid AusCycling number.
