The Tour de Brisbane was an incredibly successful event, and I feel so proud of our team for achieving our goals and supporting each other throughout the ride. The organisers did an outstanding job of planning and executing the event, ensuring that every rider had a safe and enjoyable experience. The course was challenging, but well-marked, and the support staff at the rest stops were fantastic – providing riders with water, snacks, and anything else they needed to keep going. What made the experience even more special was completing it with my Aurecon colleagues. We trained together, pushed each other to be our best, and supported each other throughout the ride. There were some tough moments, but we encouraged each other to keep going, and that helped us to cross the finish line together. The atmosphere of the event was also incredible, with riders from all over coming together to challenge themselves and support each other. There was a real sense of community and camaraderie among the participants, and that made the whole experience even more memorable. Overall, completing the tour de Brisbane with my colleagues was an experience I will never forget. It was challenging, but incredibly rewarding, and I feel so grateful to have been a part of it. I would highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a challenging yet enjoyable ride, and to anyone looking to bond with their colleagues over a shared passion for cycling.

What a great race! Never thought at aged 59 I’d qualify to race for Australia in Trento, Italy – amazing experience!
