Who can ride?

Kids aged 8 and older can ride solo, and Kids under 7 years can ride with Mum or Dad in a bike trailer or on a bike seat. All kids under the age of 12 must be accompanied and ride alongside and adult.

Please ensure that both the child and the adult are registered when entering.

How far?

4km*, pending final approvals.

What sort of bike can I use?

You can use road bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes, hybrid bikes, and cross bikes. Handcyclists, tandem bikes, recumbents, bike seats, E-bikes and bike trailers are permitted in the Big Family Ride.

Time Trial Bikes, and Bikes with tri or aero bars are not permitted.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

YES. Full stop.
